Why use mediation

You are at the center of a conflict. Communications are broken or only end up in monologues. You wish to settle this conflict, but you become aware that, without help, the chances of success are low.

Contact us. Our mediators are impartial professionals, without decisional power, who will help you find a solution to your conflict. They will first discuss the situation with you and then, if necessary, contact the other party in order to plan a first meeting or the best way to proceed.

Whether your conflict involves a colleague, a business partner, a client, a supplier or any other individual, we can intervene and help you. In a conflict, the tendency is to " view " the other party in a negative way. Let us guide you in looking at this problem in a different manner.

This is a summary of the way mediation unfolds :

1. You and the other party each PRESENT your version;
2. While one party SPEAKS, the other LISTENS;
3. At the end of each session, the mediator briefly RECAPS to ensure each party has WELL UNDERSTOOD;
4. Together, we set the ISSUES TO BE RESOLVED;
5. There follows a BRAINSTORMING session, you develop some options;
6. Once all the options are on the table, you will move on to NEGOTIATION;
7. At the end, you will decide to come into AGREEMENT if you so wish.

Mediation is fast, flexible, voluntary, confidential and meets your requirements. It consists in settling your conflict according to your interests.

You are the one controlling the costs and the process. You decide on the number of sessions you need and can, during or outside of the sessions, put an end to mediation at any time without justification.

Our mediators ensure that good manners prevail at all time in order to avoid personal attacks and that each one expresses himself or herself without hostility, stereotype, threats, insults or intimidation.

What are the prerequisites

• First, you have the will to settle the conflict.
• You wish for an amicable agreement.
• You would like to reestablish communication with the other party or parties.

Mediation can take place in our business offices or at any other location that is more convenient for you. One of our mediators will assist you in this process of conflict resolution in an atmosphere of collaboration.
